Gina Kessler Pyrography

Gina started with pyrography, the art of wood burning, in the early 2000s developing her style making Art Books, Journals, and Boxes, which she continues to make today.

Late in 2014, she began working on both acoustic and electric guitars as a new canvas for her work.

Much of her inspiration comes from zoological illustrations, and woodcuts from the Renaissance Period, as well as Celtic and Modern art.

Sophie Gao Opening Reception

Seattle based artist, Sophie Gao has been a creative since her grandmother first introduced her to painting at age 5. She currently pursues a career in architecture but has always made time to work in her favorite artistic outlet, painting. She was originally inspired to create floral pieces when she observed the works of Georgia O'Keeffe, at age 15. At the time her primary medium of choice was oils. Since then, her technique and style has evolved to experiment with textures and the tactility of both oil and acrylic paints but the subject of the majority of her painting has stayed consistent.

This installation will mark her first showcase. She’s very excited to share her work with you. Thanks for taking a moment to explore the paintings. Hope you enjoy!

Joshua Newell & Scotty Cayton Art Opening

Scotty Cayton's vintage, reflective collages and Joshua D Newell's implementation of repetition and regimented line work come together in a delightful juxtaposition of design, though each piece asks you to reexamine your perspective.

Come celebrate their opening with us on Friday, February 9th at 8PM! Live DJ, Photo-booth, complementary catering and toast!

Scotty Cayton

Two years ago I cleared off the table I had used for creating collage art because I was tired of hanging on walls. The table drowned quickly in a sea of cosmetics and Betty Wetter washed up on the shore. I came back to the table and recorded the transformation that two and a half years of changed perspectives and newfound identity formed.

Scotty started collage work in 2010 with Antfarm Studios (Raleigh, NC). The collages are created from vintage print materials and acrylic. Each piece is created as a personal meditation asking the audience to seek more than one way of looking at the world.
